The VFC M249 Lightweight GBB is a gas blowback light machine gun designed for players and collectors who want the handling, field stripping, recoil, and operating feel of an M249-style support weapon without the extreme weight of a traditional full-steel LMG replica.
Its lightweight aluminum-alloy structure keeps the platform around 3.6 kg while retaining open-bolt operation, realistic barrel removal, bolt movement, dry-fire / empty-stop functions, and a separate gas and BB supply system. That combination makes it one of the few gas blowback support weapons that can realistically be used in skirmish games rather than being limited to display.
This is still a specialist GBB platform rather than a beginner AEG. Buyers should expect normal GBB maintenance, gas management, magazine preparation, and greater sensitivity to temperature. For players who want a more realistic support-gunner experience, however, the M249 offers something conventional AEG machine guns cannot reproduce.

Reviews
The gas blowback action makes this much more fun than I expected. It feels mechanical and alive when shooting, which is exactly what I wanted from a support gun.
The VFC M249 GBB has serious presence on the table. The recoil feel is strong, the controls are satisfying, and it really stands out from a normal rifle setup.
The build feels robust and the controls have a nice positive feel. It is a very cool platform if you want a full-size support weapon with real GBB character.
